Throughout our history we have worked with Artists curators and commissioners on a range of art projects mostly within a site specific context. Our work within Art and New media tends to focus on technical and structural design and realization. DAT Events parent company DATechnical was founded to provide bespoke technical solutions for all types of cultural and artistic work and remains at the heart of what we do.

Lumiere

Since 2009 DATechnical have been working with Artichoke on Lumiere in Durham. Lumiere is the UK's largest outdoor lighting festival attracting huge crowds over 4 nights to view around 35 artworks involving a rage of medium including projection, Sculpture, light, sound and performance. We provide production and technical management for the festival and oversee the practical delivery of all the work including technical design of the site specific and commissioned projects,

NE GENERATION

DS30

In 2014 we where commissioned to work with AV Festival on DS30. The event was to mark the 30th anniversary of the miners strike and of the album Test Dept made to support the miners struggle. As project managers for the event we helped shape the event which saw a specially commissioned film and sound track by Test Dept played out at the iconic Dunston Staithes with the audiences viewing from a boat on the river Tyne.
